Aqualung LEG3ND Elite Black Edition First Stage

The Aqualung LEG3ND first stage ensures optimal protection and performance. When disconnected from the cylinder valve, the Auto Closure Device (ACD) safeguards the internal components from contamination and corrosive water, preserving internal lubrication and keeping the inlet filter clean and dry.

This LEG3ND also delivers exceptional cold-water performance, achieved through Aqualung's three anti-freeze properties. The integrated dry chamber isolates inner components from external conditions, preventing ice formation with deep ribs that enhance heat exchange by +30% compared to Glacia and +70% compared to Legend 2. The over-moulded cap further delays ice formation on the external diaphragm.

The LEG3ND is Auto-Balanced, adjusting the working pressure based on the diver's depth to maintain optimum breathing. Ergonomically shaped DIN and YOKE screws, featuring a bi-material "Soft Grip" surface, ensure easy installation and removal, even with cold hands. Additionally, a channelled YOKE screw prevents water retention, and a specialized ACD Dust cap protects the inlet fitting and ACD system from impacts.

The LEG3ND second stage boasts several upgrades for enhanced performance. The new front cover opening channels direct water sideways over the diaphragm, preventing free flows in stronger currents. Widened radial openings reduce peak inspiratory flow by an impressive 20%. The over-moulded exhaust cover, made of elastomer with a "soft touch" effect, offers better comfort. The wide surface area of the regulator makes purging easier, assisted by the purge depth controller that optimizes airflow with minimal effort.

The patented Comfobite mouthpiece reduces jaw fatigue and ensures a secure fit. The detachable and reusable mouthpiece clamp allows quick, tool-free mouthpiece changes without plastic waste.

To prevent freezing, the second stage includes an enlarged heat exchanger. The air channel deflector directs airflow evenly during inhalation, while the streamlined bi-material deflector lowers the exhalation effort. The regulator also has a flexible and lightweight Aqua Flex hose with dual protectors.
